Reduce risks of breast cancer by drinking tea?

I was reading recently an article about the beneficail effects of drinking tea in the reduction of incidence of breast cancer and endometrial cancer.  Now as an ardent coffee drinker I tend not to take much notice of such articles and as a man, I don’t expect to suffer from these particularly nasty aflictions but the thought occurred to me that in the main, we are blissfully unaware of the effects of what we eat and drink.  To some extent, assuming we are moderate consumers of everything to be consumed and enjoyed, it is likely that we neither harm ourselves or induce particular longevity but when you read something that indicates that its consumption actually helps you to enjoy a longer, infection free life then it seems to me we should pay attention to what is being said.

What the article pointed out was for consumers of three or more cups of tea per day, women of 50 or less enjoyed a 37% reduction in risk of breast cancer.  It also stated that there was no difference in which brand or type of tea was drunk.  The beneficial effects were the same.  The moral I suppose is if you are a coffee drinker as I am, give tea a chance and help your body fight the dreaded ‘C’ and try mixing your drinks.
