Cunini Restaurant, Granada, Spain

Located in the most historic quarter, by the cathedral, Cunini is an amazing seafood restaurant in the heart of Granada. Come here for top quality fresh seafood brought daily from the Port of Motril on the Mediterranean. You won’t find a better range of fresh fish and shellfish in town. The mixed seafood platter and the spicy, sizzling prawns al pil-pil are worth trying. There is an outdoor patio and a stand-up tapas bar inside. The adjoining bar serves great tapas at reasonable prices.
The menu is Spanish,  as Spanish as it can get, and sticks firmly to tried and tested local favorites;  a seafood lover’s delight. The lunchtime menu of the day is good value for money at EUR15.02 for three courses and wine, and the atmosphere is the best.  Cunini restaurant is also well known for its warm hospitality and customized service. The huge dining hall of the Cunini restaurant constitutes an ideal venue to dine out with your family and friends.

It really is an adventurer’s delight and a visit to the city is not complete without eating out in a restaurant like this.

Tutti Frutti icecream parlour, Torrox Costa

My friends, my son and I finished off a relaxing day by treating ourselves to icecream dishes at the recommended, newly opened, Tutti Frutti icecream parlour along the Torrox Costa promenade. There was adequate seating outside so we chose to sit in the shade. We ordered two icecream dishes from the multi-language illustrated menu: Brazilian Delight and Summer Fruits; scoops of icecream topped with whipped cream. I went inside to chose some mixed flavoured scoops from the vast selection of soft icecream in the display cabinet. I chose coffee, hazelnut, chocolate and mint. Although the servings were quite generous, they were also so yummy that I could possibly have eaten another serving!

It was definitely a fine choice for a treat to end our day.  Perhaps my only grumble was that I did find the prices a bit steep, but I shouldn’t complain because my friends treated me. :)

This is a new restaurant that you should definitely put on your wish list of places worth visiting.  Excellent menu with an alternative menu for children.

Brilliant but unobtrusive service in a relaxing, beautifully decorated dining area. The wine list has been well chosen and the coffee is really good. Excellent facilities for the disabled diner in a wheel chair and the entrance to the restaurant has large sliding doors which eases entrance immensly.

An ideal destination for a family meal out or a celebration party.

Lunch Invitation to Meson La Terna, Velez Malaga

Meson La Terna restaurant, Velez Malaga

I experienced one of the best lunches I’ve ever had in Spain today. My good friend, Tony, invited me to Meson La Terna restaurant in Velez Malaga. The exterior of the restarant is rather unassuming, i.e. standard and low profile, but clean and sleek looking, so on entering I was pleasantly taken aback by the picturesque traditional spanish interior decor, complete with 3 stuffed bulls’ heads decorating the dining room walls.  I was impressed with the real cotton linen tablecloth with matching serviettes, and other attention to detail. (I rarely re-enter an eating establishment that provides me with thin paper serviettes unless the food is impecable, but that rarely happens!).  We were immediately greeted by smiling faces – a rare occurence these days; the manager, the waitress and the chef came out to greet us.
